Honda of Essex
West Caldwell, NJ
To conform to the national standard image program for Honda dealerships, Honda of Essex, on Bloomfield Ave. in West Caldwell, NJ, needed to make a radical change to the look of its facility. Using a negotiated design/build contract agreement, a workable plan was devised to convert the shingle roofed, wood frame structure into a modern new facility while the dealership remained in operation. Construction included:
- structural steel framework
- remodeled showroom
- new used vehicle showroom
- waiting area
- reception area
- sales workroom
- parts and service sales areas
- 2,200 ft2 second floor office area
