St. Elizabeth Playground
Jersey City, NJ
Klae Construction completed this addition for the Franciscan Sisters of St. Elizabeth in Jersey City. The 4,700 ft2 addition includes:
- Fully heated parking garage below it
- Directional lighting system to control traffic flow.
- An elevator was constructed to link the playground to the existing structure.
- New playground/courtyard from the ground up
- handicap ramp
- unisex restroom
- rubberized playground surface covering the entire courtyard
- partial-peristyle, serving as a canopy with seating underneath
The entire exterior is comprised of soft tile and brick, creating a modern architectural aesthetic.
